The department has well qualified and committed faculty with a blend of rich teaching experience and industrial background. The department of ECE at S V College of Engineering offers a four year B.Tech programme in Electronics and Communication Engineering with an intake of 60.

The department has well established Electronic laboratories with state of art facilities. The department also has audio visual teaching aids such as LCD projector for effective teaching. Students of our department actively participate in national level paper presentations and few of them awarded in those events. As a part of curriculum, industrial visits are arranged to SHAR, NARL, etc.

The department has IETE Association through which students are allowed to enrich their technical knowledge by national level workshops, seminars and working model exhibitions. A department technical association PACE is formed in the year 2010 with an objective of motivating the students to actively participate and organize technical events. The activities under the flagship of various associations has given an ample scope for both student and teaching community to get acquainted with latest developments in areas like Digital Image Processing, Embedded Systems, Mobile & Satellite Communications and many more.

This programme covers theoretical, computational and practical aspects. At the end of the programme, students acquire sound analytical and practical knowledge to formulate and solve challenging problems and are well prepared to take up jobs in electrical &software industries or to pursue higher studies.

The department of E.E.E. has fully equipped labs with modern technology. There is a lot of demand for computer professionals from the software industry, at the same time, there is a stress on the quality of education and training. This has resulted in modernizing the laboratories, updating the teaching learning process and exposure to the latest technologies. The department of CSE at S V College of Engineering offers a four year B.Tech programme in CSE with an intake of 60.

The department has a mix of both experienced and young faculty. Majority of the faculty members are actively involved in improving their educational qualifications and actively engaged in research activity. The faculty have been attending various seminars, workshops and training programs conducted by various other reputed organizations. The faculty members are encouraged by the college management by providing financial support to attend and participate in workshops, conferences and seminars to update their knowledge.

The CSE department has aesthetically designed computer laboratories accommodating 100 computer systems. All laboratories are air conditioned with a power backup of 125 KVA DG set to help uninterrupted functioning of the laboratories. Licensed Softwares like MSDN Academic Alliance Pack, MS - Office, SUSE LINUX server, Media kit for office software etc are made available in the laboratories. All the systems are connected through LAN Facility: 10/100 MBPS Network Connections.

Mechanical Engineering is one of the most demanding branch in Engineering & encompasses the design, production & use of machines & tools. Mechanical engineers are responsible for all mechanical products & systems. They provide technical advice & consultation to others. They also manage group of people who may do the actual construction & installation of products & systems. Emerging technologies in Bio-technology, Material Science & Nanotechnology are bound to create new job opportunities for mechanical engineers.

Civil Engineering is a prominent and oldest branch of engineering which deals with buildings, bridges, roads, flyovers, railways, water supply, sanitary, development of townships and other infrastructural development. Due to liberalization policy of the government, many infrastructure projects like golden quadrilateral, National highway constructions and transport sector development are the need of the hour. Many multinationals are engaged in the infrastructure developmental activities. The job opportunities are in civil engineering fields and software companies. Analytical and logical abilities and liking for the profession are the essential requirements. Subjects on concrete technology, transport engineering, water supply and sanitary engineering, geotechnical engineering, fluid mechanics and machinery, structural mechanics, hydrology and water resources, irrigation engineering are studied in this course.

    UG(B.Tech) admissions conducted through the common entrance test(EAMCET) by the Andhra Pradesh state government. While 70% of the seats alloted are based on merit in EAMCET, 30% of the seats are earmarked for Management Quota. In addition, the Engineering Diploma holders, based on their merit at ECET(FDH), are admitted into Lateral Entry(II Year B.Tech Courses) to the tune of 20% of the total intake.
