Hello All,

Greetings of the day!

It is a great privilege for me to be part of S V College of Engineering.

I am vey much delighted to welcome all the students and parents to the Department of CSE(Artificial Intelligence & Machine Learning).

CSE(Artificial Intelligence & Machine Learning) is one of the trending, sought-after course and plays a pivotal role in worlds transformation.

In CSE(Artificial Intelligence & Machine Learning), you will study computer fundamentals, learn programming skills, various tools, technologies in practical approach and thereby you will get the expertise to apply your knowledge in providing efficient solutions for the automation of real-world problems in all the domains.

The excellent infrastructure, well experienced, qualified and diversified faculty of the department ensures quality and innovative education with high standard to achieve academic excellence, and provides platform to transform the students to be globally competent and achieve their career goals.

The Department also gives more focus towards upskilling students on emerging technologies, soft skills, analytical skills through training programs, workshops, guest lectures and interaction with industries and universities.

The Department committed to make students to follow good ethics and human-values to become a good and responsible citizen of the country.

Vision of the Department

To be a center of excellence in the academics, technical skills, research and entrepreneurship in Computer Science and Engineering and its applications.

Mission of the Department

  • To establish state-of-the art facilities to promote innovation and research.
  • To foster skills up gradation in the niche skills through industry-academia collaboration.
  • To provide more opportunities, good academic ambience to become successful leaders in career.

PROGRAM EDUCATIONAL OBJECTIVES


Program Educational Objective (PEO) is what the programme is preparing graduates for in their career and professional life. Our current PEOs are as follow:

PEO 1 -Building strong foundation in mathematics, computer science and engineering fundamentals, analytical and problem solving skills required to solve real-world problems with out-of-the-box thinking ability.

PEO 2 - Inculcating lifelong learning ability in order to adapt to rapidly changing industry requirements and generating innovative engineering solutions using research and multi-disciplinary knowledge.

PEO 3 - Imparting good academic environment which inculcates excellence in professionalism, ethics, moral values and passion towards higher-education, research, innovation and entrepreneurship to become professional engineers leading to a successful career.

PROGRAM SPECIFIC OUTCOMES


Our current PSOs are as follow:

PSO 1: -Excel in the Algorithmic skills, programming skills and demonstrate the technical competency by developing efficient algorithms for complex problems.

PSO 2 - Apply the concepts of computer science and engineering to analyze, design, develop, test and maintain robust and efficient software applications in the areas of desktop / web applications, mobile application, network based applications, Internet of things, cyber security, artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning.

PSO 3 -Enhance and/or develop new technologies and tools by applying appropriate programming paradigm / techniques that includes innovation and optimization to provide solutions to existing / new problems thereby contributing to the betterment of society.

PROGRAM OUTCOMES


  • ENGINEERING KNOWLEDGE:- Apply the knowledge of mathematics, science, engineering fundamentals, and an engineering specialization to the solution of complex engineering problems.
  • PROBLEM ANALYSIS: - Identify, formulate, review research literature, and analyze complex engineering problems reaching substantiated conclusions using first principles of mathematics, natural sciences, and engineering sciences.
  • DESIGN/DEVELOPMENT OF SOLUTIONS: - Design solutions for complex engineering problems and design system components or processes that meet the specified needs with appropriate consideration for the public health and safety, and the cultural, societal, and environmental considerations.
  • CONDUCT INVESTIGATIONS OF COMPLEX PROBLEMS: - Use research-based knowledge and research methods including design of experiments, analysis and interpretation of data, and synthesis of the information to provide valid conclusions.
  • MODERN TOOL USAGE: - Create, select, and apply appropriate techniques, resources, and modern engineering and IT tools including prediction and modeling to complex engineering activities with an understanding of the limitations.
  • THE ENGINEER AND SOCIETY: - Apply reasoning informed by the contextual knowledge to assess societal, health, safety, legal and cultural issues and the consequent responsibilities relevant to the professional engineering practice.
  • ENVIRONMENT AND SUSTAINABILITY: - Understand the impact of the professional engineering solutions in societal and environmental contexts, and demonstrate the knowledge of, and need for sustainable development.
  • ETHICS: - Apply ethical principles and commit to professional ethics and responsibilities and norms of the engineering practice.
  • INDIVIDUAL AND TEAM WORK: - Function effectively as an individual, and as a member or leader in diverse teams, and in multidisciplinary settings.
  • COMMUNICATION: - Communicate effectively on complex engineering activities with the engineering community and with society at large, such as, being able to comprehend and write effective reports and design documentation, make effective presentations, and give and receive clear instructions.
  • PROJECT MANAGEMENT AND FINANCE: - Demonstrate knowledge and understanding of the engineering and management principles and apply these to one’s own work, as a member and leader in a team, to manage projects and in multidisciplinary environments.
  • LIFE-LONG LEARNING: - Recognize the need for, and have the preparation and ability to engage in independent and life-long learning in the broadest context of technological change.

There is a huge requirement of computer professional in today’s era. The computer sector is the highly payable sector these days.
