SV College Of Engineering celebrated the \'Traditional Day-Harivillu \'Celebrating events and festivals in colleges have become an integral part of learning and building a strong cultural belief in a students.College encourage students to embrace other traditions and culture just like the way they do with their own. Apart from Academics, we also pay heed to other important festivals which must be celebrated in order to understand our country’s tradition.

The Event was inaugurated with lamp lightening and ganapathi pooja by Principal Dr. PVN Reddy & Faculty. Bommarillu In view of celebrating sankranthi festival, the students of all departments took active participation in the competition of construction a small hut.Bommarillu huts were builted with golden grass,Flying kites,Clay pots, girls in traditional attire drew ‘rangoli’ patterns and arranged ‘gobbillu’, marking the commencement of the festivities, which was attracting the visitors and students. True spirit of Sankranti was brought to life at SV Campus.The visitors also has taken photos and selfies infront of setting.All the classes were decorated in a traditional way with plenty of flowers and with colourful rangolis which created a festival environment in our college.

Cultural Events There were many events conducted in our college like Playing Bathukamma, Kolatam, karra samu, Classical Dances, Classical Singing.To make the traditional day more entertaining various competitions were arranged for the students & teachers such as Traditional games(Decori,karrabilla,golilu and musical chairs)Rangoli,Maavanta,Utti Event,Kite flying,Human pyramids & karra samu.

Traditional show Traditional dresses were dressed up by the students in their best traditional attire who looked wonderful in the colourful Sarees, half-sarees, sherwanis, kurtas, dhotis. Students went on an easy walk with the faculty and created the waves of colours across the campus.The live concert of music created a festive mood.Haridasu, were feast to the eyes. In a display of ethnic dresses the students came one after another on to the stage and explained briefly about the dress they were wearing. A few awards were also given away during the function.\"Best ethnic women dress & Best ethnic male dress\"

Later the lunch has been served to all the students, faculty& Non teaching staff.Thus the programm came to an End.

Speaking on the occasion the Principal Dr.PVN Reddy stated that this festival is regarded as the beginning of an auspicious phase in Indian Culture and by celebrating such festivals a sense of unity brotherhood and social togetherness can be developed in the young minds. He wished may the pongal give all sort of peace, happiness prosperity and good health to every one.

He awarded prizes to the students who participated in the Competitions held at Campus.The campus was surrounded with completely in high traditional competitive spirit and students’ true inner creativity and potentialities were driven out through these traditional competitions. Students were awarded with cash prize for the Bommarillu,rangoli,kite flying,Maa vanta,human pyramids,Stick fighting,pot breaking.
